I am known as one of the most finicky people in my circle of friends. I don’t mean to be; it’s just that, I like what I like and that’s what I want. I have had something in mind for a long time for our deck and have never quite found what I was looking for until this spring. I found some wonderful galvanized metal planters that are to die for! I have placed them along the outer perimeter of the deck and have planted an assortment of blooming flowers to add color and wonderful smells to out outdoor functions.
I also added some gorgeous rectangular plant baskets along the inside of the deck as well to give the flowers depth and balance. We have received so many complements about how beautiful our outdoor space is this year and no one realizes that all I did was add those wonderful planters and choose some great flowers to plant. Of course, I have not told anyone that I got some help choosing those flowers and had a Master Gardener’s input! I believe I will just keep that part a secret.
